Robin Wagner, CPA, EA (aka Not Your Dad’s Accountant)
One of my clients said she wanted to work with a female CPA who wasn't employed by a large Center City firm. That’s me. Another client told me he had a bad experience with his dad’s accountant. What I told him next has become my tagline. I’m not your dad’s accountant! When we work together, it’s you and me sitting down and going over your tax and accounting questions. I will not shame you for asking a dumb question. That’s because there are no dumb questions when it comes to your taxes! As your accountant, I thrive on helping you—individuals and small business owners—make sense of your numbers and reduce your taxes.
A High School Love Affair
It was high school that did it. My senior year and my first accounting class at Bensalem High School. The way the numbers worked, everything orderly. Debits! Credits! It was so exciting! (I quickly realized that not everyone loved accounting!) I was thrilled with the process and remember the assured smile on my teacher’s face when I eagerly asked if this was a viable career option. Little did I know, this was just the beginning for me. I went on to earn my Bachelors degree at Rider University, and to spend my life in accounting. I sat for and passed the CPA exam on February 12, 1997, and have never regretted one moment.
Over the years I’ve done accounting in several different industries including real estate, contractors, and direct sales. I served as CFO of a small business for 27 years. I’ve seen everything you can imagine and a lot that you can’t. When I went back to school for my Masters in Accounting (Rutgers, class of 2016!) it was for my love of learning in this very specialized field. Now, I am so happy to be able to bring my experience and knowledge to you.
So, whether you’ve been doing your own taxes for years and would like a professional opinion, or you’ve realized that your tax prep is a greater headache than pleasure, let me help. I’m an accountant who gets you.
